Experience – As per PCI Norms

- Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a PCI-approved/recognized Pharmacy College, or equivalent research experience, with at least 5 years as an Associate Professor in a PCI-approved/recognized Pharmacy College.

- Experience in teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate Pharmacy students will be preferred.

- Candidates with experience in academic administration, curriculum development, research supervision, and departmental coordination will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Teaching

- Teach Pharmacology subjects for B.Pharm/M.Pharm/other approved pharmacy programmes.

- Develop and deliver lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, seminars, and academic activities.

- Prepare course plans, teaching materials, question papers, assignments, and other academic resources.

- Ensure effective implementation of the prescribed PCI/university curriculum.

- Mentor and guide students in academic and career development.

Research Development

- Lead and promote research activities in Pharmacology and related pharmaceutical sciences.

- Guide postgraduate students and research scholars, as applicable.

- Publish research findings in reputed peer-reviewed journals.

- Encourage faculty and students to participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, and research projects.

- Develop research collaborations and pursue research funding opportunities.

Departmental Leadership

- Provide academic leadership to the Department of Pharmacology.

- Coordinate departmental teaching, laboratory, research, and academic activities.

- Mentor junior faculty members and support faculty development.

- Participate in academic planning, curriculum development, examinations, and institutional committees.





- Maintain academic records and documentation required for university and PCI inspections.

Laboratory Compliance

- Ensure proper functioning and academic utilization of Pharmacology laboratories.

- Ensure compliance with PCI, university, and institutional academic requirements.

- Support preparation of documents and records for PCI/university inspections and accreditation processes.

- Promote safe and ethical practices in teaching and research.

Qualifications

- First Class B.Pharm from a PCI-recognized institution.

- M.Pharm in Pharmacology or an appropriate specialization in Pharmacy from a PCI-recognized institution.

- Ph.D. in Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences or an appropriate Pharmacy subject, recognized by PCI.

- Candidates must meet the applicable qualification and recognition requirements prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

- The candidate should be registered with the State Pharmacy Council, wherever applicable under PCI requirements.
