Production Supervisor

(Hydraulics Assembly and Machine Shop Operations)

ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Production Engineering with 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

To manage and supervise daily production activities in Hydraulics Assembly and Machine Shop operations, ensuring production targets, product quality, on-time delivery, proper use of manpower and machines, workplace safety, and continuous improvement.

Roles and Responsibility:

- Hydraulics Cylinder and Power Pack Assembly Operations:
- Supervise daily hydraulic cylinder and power pack assembly work.
- Ensure assembly is done as per drawings, BOM, work instructions, and quality requirements.
- Ensure proper fitting of pistons, rods, seals, valves, pumps, motors, manifolds, hoses, and fittings.
- Ensure proper hydraulic piping, tubing, and connections.
- Carry out and monitor pressure, leakage, flow, and functional testing.
- Identify and solve assembly and testing problems.
- Allocate manpower and monitor team productivity.
- Ensure required components, tools, fixtures, and consumables are available.
- Maintain assembly records, checklists, and test reports.
- Reduce rejection, rework, leakage, and assembly defects.
- Maintain 5S, housekeeping, safety, and PPE compliance.
- Train and guide operators on proper assembly and testing methods.
- Support productivity improvement and continuous improvement activities.

Machine Shop Operations

- Supervise machining activities carried out on: CNC Lathe, Conventional / Manual Lathe, H-Boring Machine, DRO Machine, Honing Machine, Band saw Cutting Machine, VTL Machine, Radial Drilling Machine.
- Ensure machining is carried out as per approved drawings, process sheets, and specifications.
- Ensure correct machine settings, tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and work-holding methods.
- Monitor machining cycle time and productivity.
- Ensure proper use and availability of cutting tools, measuring instruments,



coolants, and consumables.
- Monitor component dimensions and coordinate with Quality for inspection.
- Identify machining problems and take corrective action to reduce rejection and rework.
- Ensure proper machine loading, unloading, and material handling.

Machine & Tool Management

- Monitor machine condition and coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns and repairs.
- Ensure preventive maintenance activities are carried out as per schedule.
- Monitor tool life and ensure timely replacement of worn-out tools.
- Ensure proper use and storage of tools, fixtures, gauges, and measuring instruments.
- Report recurring machine problems and support corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain daily production reports and machine-wise production records.
- Monitor and report production quantity, rejection, rework, downtime, and productivity.
- Maintain job cards, process records, and shift handover reports.
- Monitor raw material and component availability for production.
- Report production delays and bottlenecks to the Production Manager.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production performance reports as required.

Technical Skills

- Good knowledge of hydraulic cylinder assembly and hydraulic components.
- Knowledge of CNC and conventional machining processes.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machining tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Calliper, Micro meter, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.
- Knowledge of hydraulic pressure and leakage testing.

Compensation:

- Salary is not a constraint for the right candidate and will be commensurate with experience and expertise.

- Malumichampatti, Coimbatore - 641050

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
