Job Title: Production Planning & Control (PPC) Engineer

About the Role:

SNPJ is a Tier-1 OEM supplier of precision components to the 2W/3W automotive industry. We are hiring a PPC Engineer to plan, schedule, and monitor production across our manufacturing lines, ensuring on-time delivery against customer schedules while balancing machine capacity, material availability, and manpower.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production plans based on customer delivery schedules and open order status
- Monitor material requirement planning (MRP) raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory across all lines
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, and Purchase to resolve material and schedule constraints
- Track schedule adherence and escalate delays proactively, not reactively
- Maintain and update production planning data in ERP; ensure BOM accuracy
- Plan capacity utilization across presses/machines based on tooling availability and demand
- Coordinate dispatch planning with the Logistics/Dispatch function to meet customer delivery windows
- Generate MIS reports plan vs. actual, backlog status,



inventory ageing, OTIF (on-time-in-full)
- Support new product introduction by aligning trial and ramp-up schedules with production capacity
- Liaise directly with customer SQE/planning teams where required for schedule alignment

Required Skills:

- Production planning & scheduling in a discrete manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of MRP, BOM, inventory control, and capacity planning
- ERP proficiency (SAP/Oracle/any standard ERP mention if you have a specific one)
- Solid Excel skills pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis
- Cross-functional coordination — Production, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Dispatch
- Exposure to IATF 16949 documentation requirements

Education: B.E./Diploma (Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering) Experience: 1–5 years in production planning, preferably in automotive component manufacturing.

Other Requirements:

- Comfortable working against tight OEM delivery schedules and last-minute schedule changes
- Should be process- and data-driven; not a role for someone who relies on verbal follow-ups alone
