Role Description The Production Officer role at Meril is a full-time, on-site position based in Vapi. This role involves overseeing daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in line with quality and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities include monitoring production processes, coordinating with cross-functional teams, maintaining production records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
The Production
Officer will collaborate with quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to address operational issues, optimize workflows, and reduce downtime. The role also includes guiding production staff on procedures, supporting training activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Manufacturing and production operations skills, including familiarity with GMP and lean practices.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control and process monitoring skills to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory standards.
- Candidates should possess Training and team coordination skills to guide production staff on procedures and best practices.
- Candidates should possess Research and problem-solving skills to support process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Candidates should ideally have experience in regulated industries such as the medical device or Food Industry sectors.
- Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, industrial production, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs, and readiness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
