Role & responsibilities

- Lead production activities for current projects from development stage through SOP and mass production.

- Drive manufacturing and production readiness for new product launches.

- Coordinate closely with Japanese OEM customers and internal cross-functional teams for project requirements.

- Ensure timely installation, commissioning and validation of manufacturing processes/equipment.

- Carry out capacity planning, manpower planning, line balancing and productivity improvement.

- Support process planning, layout finalization, cycle-time improvement and manufacturing feasibility.

- Drive trial builds, pilot production and ramp-up activities before mass production.

- Ensure achievement of production targets in terms of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Productivity (SQCDP).

- Work closely with Project, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, SCM and Purchase teams.

- Support APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP and process validation activities from the production side.

- Drive problem-solving through Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Poka-Yoke and root-cause analysis.





- Ensure process stabilization and continuous improvement after SOP.

- Handle customer requirements, audits and production-related technical discussions.

- Drive adherence to manufacturing standards, SOPs and safety requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong background in Automotive / Auto Component / Tier-1 manufacturing

- Hands-on experience in new project / new product launch / greenfield or brownfield project execution

- Experience working with Japanese OEMs or Japanese automotive customers will be highly preferred

- Experience in taking projects from development trials SOP mass production

- Good knowledge of:

- APQP / PPAP

- PFMEA & Control Plan

- Line balancing

- Cycle-time reduction

- Capacity & manpower planning

- Lean Manufacturing

- Kaizen / 5S

- OEE improvement

- Productivity improvement

- Problem-solving techniques

- Strong cross-functional coordination and project-management capabilities.

- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Mechanical / Production / Automobile preferred.
