Based in the major industrial hub of Dahej, Gujarat, this dual-capacity role bridges strategic engineering planning and shop floor production execution. The position takes operational ownership of manufacturing high-value heavy engineering process equipments (such as Pressure Vessels, Columns, Heat Exchangers, and Skids). The individual will align workforce scheduling, material expediting, and strict quality workflows (including ASME, ISO, and global standards) to ensure seamless timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities — Production Planning

- Develop, maintain, and closely monitor baseline execution schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6 based on customized customer/project technical demands.
- Build and track granular mechanical tracking metrics, detailing shell longitudinal/circumferential setups (L/S & C/S), nozzle fitments, and advanced welding progress cycles.
- Conduct early cross-functional drawing reviews alongside Design and Engineering departments to proactively neutralize manufacturing limitations.
- Generate comprehensive daily production trackers, schedule variances, and highlight critical constraints to the executive management and plant directors.
- Drive external vendor monitoring, specifically expediting key long-lead outsourcing elements like dish ends, clad plates, or specialized bellows to keep assembly on target.

Key Responsibilities — Production Execution

- Take end-to-end floor ownership of designated heavy fabrication shops, overseeing high-tonnage vessel blocks, structures, and specialized integrated skid assemblies.
- Translate overall client dispatch dates into agile weekly manufacturing actions, detailing specific headcounts and skill structures required for optimal plant load utilization.
- Lead daily operations briefings with shop supervisors,



specialized fabricators, and welding foremen to clear technical roadblocks and dictate priority matrices.
- Coordinate intensively with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) / Radiography Testing (RT) coordinators to streamline inspection phases relative to critical production flow milestones.
- Certify subcontractor progress bills, verify contractor adherence.

Qualifications & Skills Required

- Education: Must hold a B.E. / B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of solid experience in core heavy engineering manufacturing facilities or heavy EPC fabrication yards.
- Technical Expertise: Direct experience in structural fabrication, pressure equipment codes (ASME Section VIII, U, U2, R stamps, IBR), and production sequencing (rolling, fit-ups, machining sets).
- Software Skills: High level of comfort utilizing project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera P6, or integrated ERP trackers) along with fundamental AutoCAD tools.
- Leadership & Soft Skills: Robust supervisory background, capable of driving output from contract labor while effectively presenting operational updates to plant directors.
