Job Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the complete garment production process—from fabric and material procurement through cutting, stitching, finishing, quality control, and final dispatch. The role ensures timely production, consistent quality, effective manpower utilization, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules as per business requirements.
- Coordinate with design, merchandising, purchase, stores, quality, and sales teams.
- Monitor the complete production cycle from fabric cutting to stitching, finishing, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the required timelines.
- Allocate manpower and machines efficiently to meet production requirements.
- Supervise tailors, cutters, finishing staff, supervisors, and other production workers.
- Monitor fabric, trims, accessories, and other raw-material requirements.
- Control material wastage and maintain optimum production efficiency.
- Ensure garments are produced according to approved design, measurements, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the QC team to identify and resolve production-quality issues.




- Monitor production costs and minimize unnecessary expenses and wastage.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain daily production reports, output records, rejection reports, and productivity data.
- Ensure proper maintenance and smooth functioning of production machinery.
- Coordinate with vendors/job workers for outsourced production whenever required.
- Ensure timely completion of orders and dispatch as per committed deadlines.
- Maintain workplace discipline and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Train and guide production staff to improve productivity and workmanship.
- Prepare regular MIS reports and update management on production status, challenges, and achievements.
