Job Summary

Sri Gowrish CNC Private Limited is looking for an experienced Production Manager / Shift Supervisor – Machine Shop to manage CNC machining operations and lead shop-floor production activities.

The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, optimizing manpower and machine utilization, maintaining quality standards, reducing downtime and rejection, and ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day CNC machine shop production activities.
- Handle VMC, HMC, VTL and CNC Turning operations.
- Plan and achieve daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
- Manage manpower allocation and shift operations.
- Monitor OEE, productivity, rejection, rework, downtime and machine utilization.
- Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Tool Room teams.
- Ensure proper utilization of tools, fixtures and machines.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure production is carried out as per process and quality requirements.
- Maintain shift-wise production reports and performance records.
- Drive 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and TPM initiatives.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure shop-floor safety, discipline and housekeeping.
- Lead, train and develop operators and production team members.
- Support productivity improvement, cost reduction and on-time delivery initiatives.

Shift Supervisor Responsibilities

- Take ownership of production activities during the assigned shift.




- Allocate manpower based on machine and production requirements.
- Monitor hourly production against planned targets.
- Conduct shift-start briefings and communicate production priorities.
- Monitor quality, rejection, rework and machine downtime.
- Ensure proper shift handover and communicate pending activities.
- Escalate production, quality, manpower and machine-related issues promptly.

Candidate Requirements

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering.
- 5–12 years of experience in CNC machining or machine-shop production.
- Robust hands-on knowledge of VMC, HMC, VTL and CNC Turning.
- Experience in precision engineering, automotive or machining industries preferred.
- Good knowledge of production planning and manpower management.
- Knowledge of OEE, productivity, rejection, rework and downtime analysis.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and TPM.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage CNC machine-shop operations.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
