Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Production Engineer to take direct charge of our daily manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be on the shop floor leading a team of operators and technicians. Your primary focus will be executing the production plan, managing manpower across shifts, optimizing sheet metal and power press operations, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Shop Floor Execution: Direct and monitor daily production activities across sheet metal fabrication lines (laser cutting, bending, welding) and power press operations (stamping, blanking, progressive die setups).

· Manpower Management: Allocate, supervise, and cross-train operators, helpers, and technicians to ensure optimal line balancing and workforce productivity.

· Output & Efficiency: Meet daily and weekly production targets while actively tracking and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and minimizing cycle times.

· Troubleshooting: Provide immediate hands-on technical solutions for machine line stoppages, tooling misalignments, or process deviations on the shop floor.

· Quality & Safety Assurance: Enforce first-piece inspection protocols, minimize scrap/rework, and strictly implement shop floor safety guidelines (operator guards, PPE compliance).

· 5S & Lean Implementation: Maintain a clean, organized,



and safe working workplace by implementing 5S, Kanban, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) practices.

Required Technical & Leadership Skills

· Hands-on Production Knowledge: Strong practical understanding of power press machines (mechanical/hydraulic), progressive tools, stage dies, shearing, and CNC fabrication.

· Man Management: Excellent leadership and conflict-resolution skills to manage and motivate a diverse shop-floor workforce.

· Technical Problem Solving: Ability to read engineering drawings (Autodesk AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and quickly identify the root cause of component defects like burrs, wrinkles, or spring-back.

· Reporting: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel to fill out daily production reports (DPR), shift handovers, and breakdown logs.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering.

· Experience: 2 to 5 years of core floor-handling experience in a sheet metal press shop, automotive components, or fabrication industry.

· Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work in rotational shifts to support continuous plant operations

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
