We are looking for an experienced Production & Assembly Manager to oversee end-to-end production, assembly, quality, manpower, and operational activities within the furniture category.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring furniture products are manufactured and assembled efficiently, maintaining quality standards, achieving production targets, managing teams, reducing wastage, and ensuring timely completion of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management

- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily furniture production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timelines.
- Monitor the complete production process from raw materials to finished products.
- Develop production schedules based on order requirements and capacity.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Improve productivity and optimize manpower utilization.

1. Furniture Assembly Operations

- Manage and supervise furniture assembly activities.
- Ensure proper assembly of tables, chairs, wardrobes, cabinets, storage units, and other furniture products.
- Establish and maintain standard assembly procedures and SOPs.
- Ensure correct usage of tools, hardware, fittings, and components.
- Monitor assembly time and improve operational efficiency.
- Handle complex assembly issues and provide technical solutions.

1. Quality Control

- Ensure finished furniture meets defined quality standards.
- Inspect products for dimensions, finishing, fitting, stability, alignment, and functionality.
- Reduce production defects, damages, rework, and customer complaints.
- Implement quality checkpoints throughout the production and assembly process.
- Coordinate with the Quality and Customer Service teams to resolve product-related issues.

1. Team & Manpower Management

- Lead and supervise production and assembly teams.
- Allocate manpower based on production requirements.




- Monitor employee productivity, attendance, discipline, and performance.
- Train team members on assembly procedures, tools, safety, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular team reviews and provide performance feedback.

1. Inventory & Material Coordination

- Coordinate with Purchase, Warehouse, and Operations teams for material availability.
- Ensure required raw materials, hardware, fittings, tools, and accessories are available for production.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Track damaged, rejected, and excess materials.
- Maintain proper production and material records.

1. Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve production and assembly processes.
- Implement lean and productive production methods wherever applicable.
- Reduce production time, material wastage, rework, and operational costs.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, checklists, and process documentation.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement improvement plans.

1. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure employees follow workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain safe usage and handling of machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct regular safety checks within the production and assembly area.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and workplace organization.

1. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Design, Purchase, Warehouse, Quality, Sales, E-commerce, and Customer Service teams.
- Coordinate production priorities based on customer orders and business requirements.
- Provide regular updates to senior management regarding production status,



issues, and requirements.
- Support new product launches and furniture model development from a production perspective.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Production, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in furniture manufacturing, furniture assembly, production, manufacturing operations, or a similar industry.
- Experience managing production and assembly teams is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of furniture components, hardware, fittings, materials, and assembly processes.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in home furniture, modular furniture, office furniture, wooden furniture, engineered wood/MDF/plywood products, furniture hardware, e-commerce furniture fulfilment, or large-scale furniture assembly operations will be preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
