Role & responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution

- Plan, coordinate, and monitor day-to-day production activities to ensure products are manufactured as per the required quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with production operators, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of manufacturing activities.
- Monitor production progress and identify delays, bottlenecks, and resource requirements.
- Ensure that the correct materials, drawings, tools, equipment, and work instructions are available before production begins.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to ensure products meet required specifications before moving to the next stage.

Drawing & Technical Understanding
- Read, understand, and interpret mechanical engineering drawings accurately.
- Understand dimensions, tolerances, fits, surface finish, materials, and other technical specifications mentioned in drawings.
- Ensure production activities are carried out strictly as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify drawing-related issues or manufacturing challenges and coordinate with the Design team for resolution.
- Ensure that the latest approved revision of drawings and documents is being used for production.

Manufacturing & Process Improvement




- Develop and improve production processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to reduce rework, rejection, wastage, and production downtime.
- Assist in developing and improving work instructions, process sheets, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure proper process control and adherence to defined manufacturing methods.
- Support implementation of recent manufacturing processes, tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot production and manufacturing issues and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.

Documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production and technical documentation.
- Prepare and maintain production records, process sheets, work instructions, inspection documents, and other relevant records.
- Maintain proper documentation of design changes, production changes, revisions, and process improvements.
- Ensure traceability of materials, components, drawings, and production records wherever required.
- Support preparation and maintenance of BOMs, routing sheets, production plans, and manufacturing documentation.
- Ensure documentation is complete and available throughout the product lifecycle.
