Position Title: Production & Quality Manager

Reports To: General Manager / Managing Partner

Position Overview

The Production & Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and quality management within the organization. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in manufacturing processes, quality control, and assurance. The manager will ensure the highest standards of product quality, streamline production processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

Oversee Daily Operations

Manage day-to-day production activities to meet production targets.

Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and resource allocation.

Process Improvement

Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and product quality.

New Product Development (NPD)

Work with the engineering team to integrate new products into production.

Ensure new products meet quality and production standards before full-scale manufacturing.

Resource Management

Plan and manage production schedules, equipment maintenance, and workforce requirements.

Optimize the use of materials, labor, and equipment to achieve cost-effective production.

Quality Management

Quality Control and Assurance

Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016).

Oversee quality control processes to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.

Supplier Quality Management

Manage supplier quality through regular audits, performance monitoring, and improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with company standards.

Customer Satisfaction





Address customer complaints and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues.

Maintain robust relationships with key customers to understand and meet their quality requirements.

Team Leadership and Training

Lead, mentor, and develop the quality and production teams to enhance their skills and performance.

Conduct regular training sessions on quality standards, process improvements, and new technologies.

Compliance and Audits

Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Prepare for and manage internal and external quality audits.

Continuous Improvement

Data Analysis and Reporting

Monitor production and quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Prepare and present reports on production and quality performance to senior management.

Root Cause Analysis

Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Utilize tools like 8D, FMEA, SPC, and other problem-solving methodologies.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Advanced certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience in production and quality management, preferably in the stamping manufacturing industry.

Proven track record of managing quality assurance processes and leading production teams.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of quality core tools: APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA.

Proficient in using quality improvement tools like 5S, 8D, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke.

Experience with ERP systems and production management software.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
