Role Overview

As a Product Manager at Nitro Commerce, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle—from identifying customer and market opportunities to defining, building, launching, and continuously improving products and features.

You will build solutions that help e-commerce and D2C brands accelerate growth, reduce customer acquisition costs, improve retention and revenue, and scale their businesses sustainably.

You will act as the voice of the customer and the connective tissue across engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer success, and growth teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in ambiguity, moves with urgency, makes data-informed decisions, and demonstrates strong product ownership and commercial understanding.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with Nitro Commerce’s business objectives and long-term mission.
- Identify opportunities across commerce, growth, advertising, payments, loyalty, and marketing technology.
- Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive developments to identify areas for innovation.
- Prioritize initiatives by balancing customer impact, business value, technical feasibility, and available resources.

User & Market Research
- Develop a deep understanding of e-commerce and D2C customers, their challenges, workflows, and growth goals.
- Gather qualitative and quantitative insights through customer conversations, market research, competitive analysis, and product data.
- Validate product hypotheses through prototypes, pilots, experiments, and A/B testing.
- Build and maintain strong domain expertise across customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, payments, advertising, and marketing technology.

Product Planning & Execution
- Translate customer problems and business opportunities into clear product requirements, PRDs, user stories,

and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with design and UX teams to create intuitive workflows and user experiences.
- Lead product execution across the development lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and delivery tracking.
- Make informed trade-offs between scope, speed, quality, and technical complexity.
- Ensure products are delivered on time while maintaining a high bar for usability, reliability, and scalability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, design, QA, data, marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
- Align stakeholders around product goals, priorities, timelines, and expected outcomes.
- Communicate product decisions clearly and manage expectations across teams.
- Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success to develop go-to-market strategies, launches, enablement, and customer education.

Metrics, Analytics & Experimentation
- Define clear KPIs and success metrics for products and features, such as CAC, conversion rate, retention, LTV, ARPU, engagement, and revenue.
- Monitor product performance and customer behavior through dashboards, analytics, and qualitative feedback.
- Design and analyze experiments, including A/B tests, to validate hypotheses and drive continuous improvement.
- Use data and customer insights to identify opportunities, diagnose problems, and inform product decisions.

Customer Advocacy
- Represent the customer perspective in product discussions and decision-making.

- Engage directly with key customers and power users to understand needs, gather feedback, and validate solutions.
- Translate customer pain points into actionable product opportunities.
- Support customer-facing teams in product discussions, strategic accounts, and escalations when required.

Product Lifecycle Management
- Own products throughout their lifecycle—from ideation and discovery through launch, growth, maturity, and eventual sunset.
- Continuously evaluate product performance, adoption, customer value, and commercial impact.
- Ensure products remain scalable, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with evolving customer needs.
- Monitor competitors and market developments and recommend product adjustments where relevant.

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience building and shipping successful products or features from ideation through launch and iteration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate user behavior into actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce, D2C, digital marketing, growth, customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, payments, and/or advertising ecosystems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling product stories and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Robust product sense and customer empathy, with the ability to translate complex customer problems into simple, scalable solutions.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous and fast-moving environments and making decisions with incomplete information.
- Strong ownership mindset, with a bias toward action, experimentation, learning, and measurable outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams while keeping the customer and business outcome at the center of decisions.
