Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager – Backing Services to define and own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery of key platform and infrastructure service products.

The role will cover three core product areas:

1. Cache as a Service (Cache-aaS)

- Manage the roadmap of a mature, live product
- Drive commercials, adoption, and continued product growth

2. Database as a Service (DBaaS)

- Lead discovery, development, and launch of a new 0-to-1 internal product
- Define the product proposition and operating model
- Drive adoption and continuous improvement

3. Storage as a Service (Storage-aaS)

- Lead product discovery and productisation
- Drive automation of manual processes
- Develop scalable, self-service storage offerings

Key Responsibilities
- Define and own product vision, proposition, roadmap, and delivery.
- Lead the complete 0-to-1 product lifecycle from opportunity identification through launch and adoption.
- Understand developer and engineering requirements and translate them into scalable service offerings.
- Drive service standardisation, self-service capabilities, onboarding journeys, and operational models.
- Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams.
- Ensure platform services are secure, reliable, scalable,



and easy to consume.
- Manage the ongoing evolution of the Cache-aaS product, including commercials and adoption.
- Balance customer needs, platform scalability, operational supportability, and commercial considerations.

Required Experience & Skills
- 9+ years of experience in product management or closely related technical product environments.
- Experience working in highly technical, engineering-led environments.
- Experience launching platform, infrastructure, or developer products from concept through adoption.
- Strong understanding of database, storage, and caching offerings.
- Strong knowledge of CaaS, DBaaS, S3/Object Storage, and platform services.
- Experience with Couchbase and SQL/NoSQL databases is highly relevant.
- Knowledge of vector databases is a plus.
- Robust Product Discovery and Product Strategy capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and delivery leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Operations stakeholders.
