Shiv Ganga Hybrid Seeds Pvt. Ltd., Hisar (Trade Name: Hari-Har Seeds) is an Indian seed company engaged in seed research, product development, production, and marketing. The company is expanding its dedicated R&D; and product development activities, with a strong focus on Wheat and Rice.

Our work combines field research, multi-location trials, farmer feedback, data-driven evaluation, and collaboration across R&D;, production, and marketing to develop and deliver improved seed products suited to farmers' needs.

Role Description

We are looking for a Product Development Officer to support the development and evaluation of seed products, primarily in Wheat and Rice.

The role will involve planning and conducting field trials, coordinating multi-location testing, monitoring crop and product performance, collecting and analysing field data, and gathering feedback from farmers, dealers, and distributors.

The Product Development Officer will work closely with R&D;, production, and marketing teams and support product demonstrations, technical presentations, field visits, and post-launch product monitoring.

This is a field-oriented role requiring regular travel across Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The candidate should be comfortable working in field conditions and interacting with farmers and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct Wheat and Rice product trials.
- Coordinate multi-location trials to evaluate yield, adaptability, and disease response.
- Collect, analyse, and maintain field trial and product performance data.
- Gather farmer, dealer, and distributor feedback.




- Monitor competing products and relevant market developments.
- Support product demonstrations and technical activities.
- Collaborate with R&D;, production, and marketing teams.
- Track product performance and prepare reports for management.
- Identify opportunities for product improvement based on field results.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Genetics & Plant Breeding, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in seed industry, product development, agronomy, field trials, or related work (Fresher may also apply).
- Good knowledge of Wheat and Rice agronomy.
- Understanding of crop genetics, breeding, and field evaluation.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively across Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
- Valid Indian domestic driving licence is mandatory.
- Comfortable with frequent field visits and farmer interactions.
- Willingness to work in a field-oriented environment.
