JOB SUMMARY:

As a Product Designer II joining our core experiences function, the role entails working to enhance the product experience for JioHotstar customers in India and abroad. The responsibility includes collaborating with stakeholders, and designing experiences that assist people in browsing and discovering content to watch.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Design is one of the key teams at JioHotstar. We have 4 key areas of focus - Product Design, UX Research, Design Standards and Creative Studio.

We are a closely-knit team of 30+ people at the moment, who work across the spectrum of design from deriving insight from data, designing interfaces and prototypes, and testing with users to motion graphics and illustrations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design new products, interfaces, and user experiences across multiple platforms
- Work with Product Designers and managers to define and redefine the problem statement and help tailor a project execution plan
- Translate problem statements into valuable and user-friendly solutions for our 150 Million-plus customers
- Create concepts that cater to the relevant needs of a diverse set of users from various backgrounds
- Coordinate with the UXR team & data science team to develop impactful metrics-driven and user-centric solutions.
- Collaborate with teams of engineers and product managers throughout the design process, from content to production, to create user flows & build user-interface mockups and prototypes





SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

- Demonstrates exceptional design skills, high level of craft, strong understanding of fundamental design disciplines (typography, composition, iconography, colour, layouts, etc.), impeccable visual and interaction finesse along with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to confidently articulate UX design rationale and enjoy leading conversations with teams and key stakeholders
- Demonstrate experience in leading projects independently under challenging timelines without compromising on delivery and quality in terms of craft and finesse
