We are looking for an experienced and responsible Purchase Officer to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, spare parts, consumables and services required for mining and infrastructure operations.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of the mining industry and its procurement requirements. Candidates with a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Mining Engineering or candidates with relevant experience in purchase/procurement within the mining industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete purchase/procurement process from requirement to delivery.
- Receive and verify Material Requisitions (MR), Purchase Requisitions (PR) and other purchase requirements from project/site teams.
- Identify and evaluate suitable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain and compare quotations based on price, quality, specifications, delivery time and payment terms.
- Negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices and favourable commercial terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) after obtaining the required approvals.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding order confirmation, dispatch and delivery schedules.
- Follow up regularly to ensure timely delivery of materials at project/mining sites.
- Maintain proper records of quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, invoices and vendor communications.
- Coordinate with site engineers, mining personnel, stores and accounts departments regarding material requirements and deliveries.
- Source mining machinery spare parts, drilling consumables,



safety equipment, tools, lubricants, electrical items and other site requirements.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor/supplier network.
- Monitor vendor performance regarding quality, price, delivery and service.
- Handle urgent procurement requirements from mining/project sites.
- Assist Management in identifying cost-saving and alternative procurement opportunities.
- Ensure purchases are made as per approved specifications and Company procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of commercial information and supplier pricing.

Required Knowledge – Mining Industry The candidate should preferably have knowledge of:

- Mining and quarrying operations
- Mining machinery and equipment
- Drilling equipment and consumables
- Heavy equipment and machinery spare parts
- Diesel, lubricants and other operational consumables
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance items
- Safety equipment and PPE
- Site-specific material requirements
- Basic understanding of mining/project operations

Educational Qualification

Preferred:

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mining Engineering, OR
- Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field with relevant mining-industry purchase experience.
