Job Summary

Giriraj Constructions is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with 10–12 years of relevant experience in Civil Construction to manage end-to-end procurement activities for multiple project sites.

The Procurement Manager will lead and supervise team members and will be responsible for vendor management, sourcing, price negotiation, purchase orders, timely material delivery, and overall procurement coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities for civil construction projects.
- Lead, guide, and supervise procurement/purchase team members.
- Allocate procurement requirements to team members and monitor their day-to-day activities.
- Handle procurement requirements for multiple project sites and coordinate with Site, Project, Store, Accounts, and Management teams.
- Source and procure construction materials including cement, steel, RMC, aggregates, bricks/blocks, plumbing, electrical, finishing materials, hardware, tools, and other project requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
- Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials at project sites.
- Ensure materials are procured as per approved specifications, quality standards, quantity, budget, and project requirements.
- Conduct vendor meetings and site visits as required for procurement, material inspection, coordination, and project requirements.




- Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve issues related to quality, quantity, pricing, and delivery.
- Monitor market rates and identify opportunities for cost optimization and savings.
- Coordinate with Site and Store teams for material planning and requirements.
- Review procurement reports and provide regular updates to Management.
- Maintain proper procurement records, vendor data, quotation comparisons, purchase orders, and MIS reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- 10–12 years of relevant experience in Procurement/Purchase in Civil Construction.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, suppliers, market rates, and procurement practices.
- Experience in handling procurement for multiple construction sites/projects.
- Previous experience in team handling/supervision will be preferred.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of purchase orders, quotation comparison, material specifications, and commercial terms.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable with frequent travel, site visits, and meetings with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
- Willingness to travel to different project locations as required.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement requirements under strict project timelines.

Preferred Industry Experience Candidates from Civil Construction, Infrastructure, EPC, Real Estate, or Contracting companies will be preferred.

Experience in procurement for commercial, hospitality, institutional, hospital, residential, or infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
