Role Purpose The Procurement Manager – Solar & Wind will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of equipment, materials, and services required for solar (rooftop & ground-mounted) and wind energy projects. The incumbent will drive strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimisation while ensuring compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

- Develop and implement procurement strategies for solar modules, inverters, wind turbines, transformers, cables, civil structures, and balance-of-plant (BoP) components.
- Lead global and domestic sourcing initiatives; evaluate and onboard OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Manage the full tender lifecycle — RFQ/RFP issuance, technical and commercial bid evaluation, and final vendor selection.
- Drive cost benchmarking and ensure procurement targets are achieved within approved capex budgets.

B. Vendor & Supplier Management

- Build and maintain a robust vendor ecosystem for solar and wind equipment across India and international markets.
- Conduct vendor qualification, periodic performance reviews, and risk assessments.
- Negotiate long-term supply agreements, framework contracts, and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts).
- Resolve vendor disputes, escalate delivery/quality issues, and manage vendor remediation plans.

C. Contract & Compliance Management

- Draft, review, and negotiate procurement contracts including LOIs, MSAs,



and purchase orders in coordination with Legal & Compliance teams.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with MNRE policies, state-level regulations, and FPEL's internal governance framework.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and support internal/external audits.

D. Project Coordination & Logistics

- Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, and O&M; teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Oversee end-to-end logistics, including customs clearance for imported equipment, freight management, and last-mile delivery.
- Monitor critical path procurement items and proactively mitigate supply chain risks.

E. Reporting & Analytics

- Provide regular procurement dashboards and MIS reports to senior leadership covering spend analytics, savings achieved, and vendor KPIs.
- Lead procurement digitisation and ERP adoption initiatives in coordination with the Digital Transformation team.
- Track market trends in solar and wind component pricing and share insights with leadership for capex planning.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline (mandatory).
- MBA in Supply Chain / Operations / Finance preferred.

Work Experience

- 10–12 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in solar energy procurement (modules, inverters, mounting structures, SCADA, BoP).
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience in wind energy procurement (WTGs, blades, nacelles, tower sections, transformers).
- Prior experience managing procurement budgets of INR 100 Cr+ per annum.
- Experience working with EPC contractors, DISCOMs, and government-tendered projects is advantageous.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
