Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced procurement head to lead and manage the procurement and supply chain function. The role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor management, cost optimization, inventory planning, procurement operations, and ensuring timely availability of quality materials across the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business requirements and cost objectives. • Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiations, purchase orders, and supplier coordination.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and service agreements to achieve cost efficiencies.
- Manage the supply chain process from sourcing and purchasing to delivery and distribution.
- Ensure timely procurement of food ingredients, packaging materials, consumables, equipment, and other operational requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, consumption patterns, lead times,



and replenishment requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships while monitoring supplier performance and service levels.
- Develop procurement budgets and track purchase costs against approved budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, bulk purchasing, alternate vendors, and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, specifications, and approved vendor processes.
- Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Stores, Production, Quality, and other departments to understand procurement requirements.
- Monitor market prices, commodity trends, availability, and supplier capabilities to support effective purchasing decisions.
- Implement procurement controls, documentation, approval of workflows, and MIS reporting.
- Lead and mentor the procurement and supply chain team and establish clear performance objectives.
- Identify supply risks and develop alternate sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and data-driven procurement practices.

Requirements

- Minimum 8+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, and supply chain management.
- MBA in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, Logistics, or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong experience in vendor development, negotiation, strategic sourcing, and cost management.
- Hands-on experience in inventory planning and supply chain operations.
- Robust knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, contracts, and commercial negotiations.
- Experience in the food & beverage / hospitality / FMCG / retail industry will be preferred.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/procurement systems, and MIS reporting.
