Job Title: Procurement Executive Iron Ore & Miscellaneous POs

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Executive to manage procurement activities related to Iron Ore (Lumps & Fines), primarily through E-Auctions, and handle miscellaneous purchase orders (POs) in SAP (Purchase Module). The role requires close coordination with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement aligned with production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Iron Ore Procurement (Primary Responsibility):

1. Participate in government and private e-auctions for Iron Ore procurement.
2. Analyze auction terms, bidding strategies, and monitor market trends.
3. Track allocations, lifting schedules, and liaise with mines/logistics for smooth movement.

2. SAP Procurement (Purchase Module):

1. Create, release, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP for Iron Ore and other categories.
2. Ensure accurate documentation, approvals, and compliance with procurement policies.
3. Maintain data integrity and support audits through systematic SAP documentation.

3. Miscellaneous POs & Support Activities:

1. Create and manage POs for various consumables, services, and indirect purchases.
2. Coordinate with user departments for specifications, approvals,



and vendor follow-ups.
3. Provide support to other team members in the department for timely PO creation and issue resolution.

4. Vendor & Internal Coordination:

1. Maintain healthy vendor relationships and resolve issues related to deliveries, documentation, and payments.
2. Collaborate with logistics, production, finance, and stores for smooth procurement workflow.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Education: Graduate in Engineering/Commerce/Science; MBA or Diploma in Materials Management is a plus.
2. Experience: 2–5 years in procurement, preferably in the steel or mining sector.
3. SAP Knowledge: Hands-on experience in SAP– MM (Purchase Module) is essential.
4. E-Auction Exposure: Must be familiar with e-auction platforms like MSTC, Mjunction, etc.

Key Skills:

1. Strong understanding of iron ore procurement and market dynamics.
2. Proficient in SAP MM (Purchase Requisition, PO, GRN, etc.).
3. Attention to detail with robust analytical and numerical abilities.
4. Excellent communication and coordination skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

1. Willingness to travel occasionally for site/vendor visits or e-auction-related requirements.
2. Knowledge of steel plant operations and material requirements will be an added advantage.
