Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Head to lead the procurement function for a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Mumbai.

The role will be responsible for building and leading the procurement function, developing sourcing strategies, managing strategic technology and enterprise vendors, driving cost optimisation, and establishing robust procurement processes and governance for the GCC.

This is a high-ownership leadership role suited for someone who has operated in a large IT / technology environment or GCC and understands the complexity of technology procurement, global stakeholders and multi-vendor ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end procurement function for the GCC
- Build and implement procurement strategy, policies, processes and governance
- Develop strategic sourcing frameworks across IT and corporate procurement categories
- Manage procurement for technology, software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, infrastructure, professional services and other IT and Non-IT categories
- Lead RFPs, RFQs, negotiations, vendor selection and contracting
- Drive strategic vendor management and supplier performance
- Identify and deliver cost optimisation and savings opportunities
- Establish preferred vendor / strategic supplier frameworks
- Partner closely with IT, Finance, Legal, Information Security, HR and business leadership
- Manage complex commercial negotiations and long-term vendor agreements
- Establish procurement controls,



approval matrices and compliance mechanisms
- Build procurement dashboards and track spend, savings, vendor performance and procurement KPIs
- Manage global and India-based stakeholders and suppliers
- Develop and lead the procurement team as the GCC scales
- Support the GCC leadership team in building scalable procurement infrastructure

Ideal Candidate

- 12–18 years of procurement experience, preferably within IT / Technology / Non-IT / GCC / Global organisations
- Strong experience in overall IT and Non-IT procurement and strategic sourcing
- Experience managing significant technology spend and complex vendor ecosystems
- Experience negotiating software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure and professional-services contracts
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, contracting and compliance
- Proven experience managing senior stakeholders across functions and geographies
- Strong commercial, negotiation and analytical skills
- Experience building or transforming procurement functions is highly desirable
- Prior GCC experience will be strongly preferred
- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or a related discipline preferred
