About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Procurement & Logistics Coordinator to join an established, global leader headquartered in Melbourne, Australia. Specializing in industrial manufacturing, high-performance electrical cable solutions, and sustainable engineering, our client delivers critical infrastructure solutions across international projects.
This is a full-time, permanent remote role based in India, aligned with Australian business hours. You will play a pivotal role in streamlining end-to-end purchasing, managing supplier relationships, optimizing inventory levels, and tracking international logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Operations: Raise purchase orders (POs), track approvals, and manage end-to-end procurement workflows efficiently.
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Coordinate with global suppliers regarding product pricing, lead times, shipment schedules, and contract compliance.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory across warehouses, analyze stock levels, and ensure timely material replenishment to prevent project delays.
- Logistics & Freight Tracking: Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, handle customs documentation/clearance processes,
and liaise with freight forwarders for timely delivery.
- Data & Compliance Management: Maintain up-to-date purchasing and inventory records within the ERP system.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal engineering, sales, and operations teams to align procurement with project requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Industry Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in industrial cabling, electrical equipment supply, telecommunications, infrastructure, or construction industries will be highly regarded.
- Systems Expertise: Proficient in using ERP and procurement software systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, MS Dynamics, or similar).
- Skills: Strong vendor negotiation, contract oversight, inventory control, and organizational capabilities.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills to collaborate smoothly with Australian teams and international suppliers.
- Shift Readiness: Comfortable working full-time aligned with Melbourne, Australia business hours .
