Outline India is a leading research and data organization operating across India and South Asia. We partner with global leaders like the World Bank, UNICEF, Mastercard, and GSMA to conduct large-scale field research, impact evaluations, and policy studies. As we grow, we’re looking for a senior operations professional who can bring structure, visibility, and accountability across these moving parts.
Note: We are looking for candidates with 11+ years of work experience only. Candidates from DEVELOPMENT SECTOR ONLY are considered.

Role Overview
This is a founder-facing, high-impact role. You'll be the operational backbone of the organization—ensuring that finance, HR, admin, and field teams work in sync so our research delivers on time, on budget, and at quality. If you've built systems from scratch, managed team size of 40-50 employees, and enjoy solving operational puzzles, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
I. Operations & Process Excellences
- Monitor timelines, resolve bottlenecks, and lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through closure.
- Streamline workflows across operations, finance/admin, HR, and field teams to improve efficiency and execution quality.
- Identify process gaps and implement automation, standardization, and documentation to strengthen internal systems.
- Track priorities, dependencies, and deliverables; ensure timely follow-through across all teams.
- Provide regular operational reporting to the Founder ; proactively surface risks, bottlenecks, and resolution plans.
- Drive strategic, cross-functional projects end-to-end ( planning → execution → monitoring → closure ).
II. Field Operations, HR & Vendor Leadership
- Coordinate with Finance/Accounts on contracts, invoicing , payments, reimbursements, and statutory compliance.
- Develop field scopes of work, contracts, budgets, and operational plans in coordination with project teams.
- Negotiate field budgets and vendor costs ; ensure timely submission and processing of reimbursements.
- Oversee office operations , vendors, facilities , and all administrative requirements.
- Build organizational culture through engagement initiatives, policy updates, and alignment with leadership on people strategies.
- Maintain HR records, attendance trackers, and support coordination.
What We Want
- 11+ years of work experience in similar ops-heavy roles (operations management, field execution, or program ops in research/NGO/development sectors like livelihoods, education, or health)
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel-Advance / Google Sheets and operational reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to design, document, and improve processes across multiple functions (HR, finance, admin, field).
- Comfortable working closely with senior leadership and independently driving execution.
