Responsibilities

1. Receive the shift handover from the previous shift supervisor and review all important production and quality updates.
2. Study the Job Card (JC) and ensure all required inputs, specifications, and references are available and clearly understood.
3. Verify that all required inputs, including plates, paper and paperboard, ink, adhesive, varnish, film, coatings, and other materials , are available and correct as per the Job Card.
4. Maintain adequate Blanket Inventory and ensure its availability as per production requirements.
5. Communicate all special requirements and instructions mentioned in the Job Card to the concerned operators.
6. Provide required approvals and address issues related to quality, production, and machine performance .
7. Ensure all inputs and materials required for the next job are prepared and available once the current job is approved.
8. Coordinate with Stores, Maintenance, Ink Matching, and Quality Departments to ensure smooth and consistent production.
9. In case of any non-conformance , ensure it is rectified by the operator and record the details in the Production Logbook . If the issue cannot be resolved, immediately inform the HOD.
10. Manage and deploy manpower effectively as per production requirements and workload.

Manage the production floor and maintain good housekeeping , including proper segregation and identification of OK, HOLD, and REJECTED materials .
12. Ensure the prescribed Tag/Identification System is properly followed for all materials and jobs.
13. Report machine breakdowns to the Maintenance Department by completing the required Breakdown Report/Form .
14. Achieve the defined Make-Ready Time targets and minimize machine downtime.
15. Upon completion of each job, verify and acknowledge quality, quantity, and raw material consumption .
16. Ensure proper Job Card management and maintain accurate production and shift Logbook records .
17. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by superiors from time to time .
