We are looking for a Principal IT Asset Management Analyst to join our newly established IT Asset Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and mature our Software Asset Management (SAM) practice while providing senior subject matter expertise across software licensing, governance, compliance, cost optimization, and audit readiness.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Oracle and Microsoft licensing, supporting the management of complex software entitlements, agreements, deployment models, cloud use rights, vendor relationships, and licensing risk. You will partner across Technology, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and other teams to build scalable ITAM processes, controls, tooling, and governance.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills & Accomplishments

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, with 10+ years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, software licensing, or related governance disciplines.
- Deep expertise across Oracle licensing, including Database, middleware, applications, Java, Named User Plus and Processor licensing, options and management packs, virtualization/partitioning, support policies, and applicable on-premises and cloud use rights.
- Strong expertise across Microsoft licensing, including SQL Server, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, Visual Studio, System Center, Enterprise Agreements, Software Assurance, CALs, subscription/user/device licensing, virtualization and mobility rights, disaster recovery, and Azure Hybrid Benefit.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting complex software agreements and producing Effective License Positions (ELPs)



by reconciling contractual entitlements, deployments, configurations, usage, financial records, discovery, and CMDB data.
- Proven experience leading complex software audits, license reviews, renewals and true-ups, with strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across Technology, Procurement, Finance, and Legal.

It Would Be Outstanding If You Also Had
- IAITAM CSAM, CITAM, or equivalent recognized ITAM/SAM certification, together with Microsoft or Oracle licensing training/certification.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise SAM/ITAM platforms such as ServiceNow SAM Pro, Snow License Manager, Flexera, or equivalent, including CMDB and discovery/inventory technologies such as MECM/SCCM, ServiceNow Discovery, or Tanium.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 19770 and ITIL 4 principles and their practical application to SAM governance, controls, evidence management, and operational processes.
- Experience supporting strategic vendor negotiations and managing other Tier 1 software publishers such as IBM, SAP, Adobe, or VMware/Broadcom.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, PowerShell, or similar technologies for licensing analytics, reporting, automation, and executive decision support.

What Will You Be Doing in This Role?
- Lead Oracle and Microsoft license management and compliance, maintaining audit-defensible Effective License Positions and managing entitlements, deployments,



consumption, cloud use rights, compliance gaps, software audits, license reviews, and remediation activities.
- Drive software cost optimization and vendor management through license harvesting, subscription optimization, right-sizing, cloud benefit utilization and licensing model optimization, while supporting renewals, true-ups, acquisitions, commercial negotiations, and demonstrating realized savings and cost avoidance.
- Shape ITAM strategy and governance by contributing to the SAM/ITAM operating model, policies, controls, publisher roadmaps, evidence standards, governance forums, audit readiness, renewal planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strengthen tooling, data and reporting by improving SAM/ITAM platform capabilities, entitlement and discovery data quality, software normalization, CMDB integration, dashboards, compliance reporting, automation, and repeatable publisher management processes.
- Partner and influence across the organization, providing expert licensing guidance to Technology, Infrastructure, DBA, Cloud, Security, Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Internal Audit teams while presenting risks, commercial implications, optimization opportunities, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Hours of Work Full Time, Shift Timing 2-11 PM

This is a hybrid role working 2-3 days a week in one of our local office locations
