- Contacting the shipping lines and airlines for rates on a daily basis
- Understanding the cost headings in detail.
- Negotiation of rates and the payment terms with the shipping lines and airlines
- Quoting the rates to the concerned sales on multiple lines.
- Resolving rates related issues in time with the lines
- Checking the invoices raised by the shipping lines and authenticating the same.
- Coordinating with the sales and finance teams to ensure the release of the shipping line dues in time
- Maintaining the inventory levels report at all the major locations
- Updating the self and the team on the current changes evolving in the costings related to the freights & other charges
- Analysing the pricing patterns of the lines for every sector once in a quarter and sharing the learnings to the management
