Experience Required: 10 years in textile production planning (preferably shirting fabrics)

Reports To: Vice President

Job Purpose:

To lead and optimize the entire production planning and control process for shirting fabric manufacturing from grey fabric procurement to processing, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, timely deliveries, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning:

- Develop and implement weekly/monthly production plans based on order pipeline and sales forecasts.
- Allocate production loads to internal units and outsourced vendors based on capacity and specialization.

1. Material Planning:

- Forecast and plan procurement of yarns, packing material etc and other inputs required for shirting fabrics.
- Coordinate with purchase and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.

1. Process Coordination:

- Manage the full value chain: weaving (or sourcing of grey), dyeing, printing, finishing, and quality checks.
- Work closely with mills, processors, and job workers for continuous flow and process efficiency.

1. Capacity & Resource Management:

- Monitor job work partners’ performance and capacities regularly.

1. TNA (Time & Action Plan) Monitoring:





- Develop and track TNA charts to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
- Escalate delays and bottlenecks proactively and resolve operational issues.

1. MIS & Reporting:

- Prepare daily/weekly/ monthly production MIS reports highlighting progress, delays, and output metrics.
- Present production efficiency, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), and wastage reports to senior management.

1. Cost Control & Efficiency:

- Monitor fabric rejections, process losses, and excess consumption to control costs.
- Work on continuous improvement projects (lean, kaizen) to enhance productivity.

1. Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of PPC executives, production supervisors, and coordinators.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration with marketing, QA, warehouse, and logistics teams.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Deep knowledge of shirting fabric production processes (yarn counts, weaving, processing).
- Robust planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent coordination and communication abilities across departments and vendors.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and production software.
- Familiarity with ISO/Quality standards and textile compliance requirements.

Educational Qualification:

- B.Tech / Diploma in Textile Engineering / Textile Chemistry
