Partnering with leading corporate CSRs, state agencies, and educational institutions, GSLF executes high-impact skilling programs across three primary verticals: Skill Development & Livelihoods, ITI Transformation, and STEM Education.

Under its flagship partnership projects with HCLFoundation, GSLF equips youth with industry-aligned technical skill sets to bridge the gap between classroom learning and shop-floor industrial employment.

Role Overview The Power Tools Trainer will manage hands-on workshop training, equipment handling, and safety instruction under the HCLF Pune Project. This role focuses on delivering practical, trade-specific competencies to trainees, ensuring safe machinery operations, maintaining lab inventory, and driving classroom-to-employment readiness.

Key Responsibilities

- Practical Training & Instruction: Conduct hands-on practical training sessions and workshops covering the operation and maintenance of standard industrial power tools, including angle grinders, cut-off machines, rotary hammers, drill presses, and circular saws.
- Curriculum & Practical Module Design: Develop trade-aligned training content, step-by-step practical exercises, workshop job-sheets, and periodic assessment rubrics.




- Workshop Safety & Equipment Maintenance: Provide routine technical support, machine servicing, preventive maintenance, and upkeep of training tools, jigs, and consumables. Ensure adherence to workshop safety protocols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance, and electrical hazard prevention.
- Batch Administration & Reporting: Maintain complete training records, daily attendance, student logs, and competency evaluations. Prepare and share weekly and monthly progress reports for CSR project monitoring.
- Industry Readiness & Placement Support: Guide trainees on industry workplace etiquette, troubleshooting common machine faults, and practical assessment clearing for job placements.

Desired Profile

Educational Qualifications

- Diploma or Trade Certification in Fitter / Machinist / Mechanical with a minimum of 2 years of relevant hands-on experience.
- OR B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (freshers with strong practical workshop aptitude are eligible to apply).

Technical Skills

- Strong practical skills in handling, operating, and maintaining power tools (Grinder, Cutter, Rotary Hammer, Drilling Machines, Sanders).
- Knowledge of mechanical workshop safety norms, tool sharpening, workpiece clamping, and measurement gauges (vernier calipers, micrometers).
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel / Google Sheets and Word) for batch data entry and progress tracking.

Behavioural Traits

- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and working with youth from underserved backgrounds.
- Robust verbal communication and demonstration abilities in Marathi and Hindi (English is an added advantage).
- Disciplined approach to lab safety, punctuality, and operational reporting.
