- Analog and digital circuit design
- Power electronics fundamentals and circuit analysis
- Circuit simulation using LTSpice, PSpice or equivalent
- Knowledge of PCB design, layout considerations, and electronic manufacturing processes
- Experience with embedded hardware systems based on microcontrollers and microprocessors
- Hardware debugging, validation and root cause analysis
- EMC/EMI design fundamentals and compliance testing
- Knowledge of IEC, UL and product safety standards
- Experience with Altium, Cadence or equivalent hardware design tools
- Experience with DFM and DFMEA , Global Manufacturing sites

- Experience with Life Safety, Emergency Lighting or Power Management products
- Product qualification and certification activities
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)
- PLM tools such as Enovia
- ERP systems such as SAP
