We are looking for a Power BI Developer to join an enterprise data and AI delivery team. You will build the data models and reports that business teams use to track sales and performance. Our AI products will also read from the same models, so they need to be accurate and well built.
You will work alongside data engineers, AI engineers and a solution architect. It suits someone who cares about getting business definitions right, not only about how dashboards look.
What you will do
- Build and maintain Power BI semantic models over commercial data
- Write and optimise DAX measures, keeping business definitions consistent
- Write and tune SQL queries against the data lake and source systems
- Build reports and dashboards for marketing and commercial teams
- Set up row-level security, and keep refresh and performance dependable
- Configure the semantic layer our AI agents use, so they read measures,
hierarchies and business rules the same way the reports do
What we are looking for
- Three or more years building with Power BI in a business setting
- Strong DAX, and solid data modelling: star schemas, hierarchies, time intelligence
- Solid SQL: you will write and tune queries, not only read them
- Comfortable with Power Query, row-level security and workspace management
- Able to talk to business users, understand what they actually need, and turn that into a model
- Careful about data accuracy, and willing to ask when a definition is unclear
Nice to have
- Microsoft Fabric experience
- Syndicated market data such as Nielsen, or CPG or retail data
- Exposure to AI or chatbot projects that query governed data models
- Azure data platform experience
