Power BI Developer

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer who can design, develop, and maintain executive-ready reporting dashboards and analytical portals for CISO, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and enterprise operations reporting. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, data modeling, dashboard automation, data validation, and stakeholder-facing reporting. The candidate should be able to convert operational data from multiple tools and teams into meaningful insights, trends, KPIs, SLA views, risk indicators, and leadership-level reports.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and semantic models for CISO, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and IT operations reporting. Build executive-level reporting portals covering security posture, SOC metrics, vulnerability management, cloud security, endpoint compliance, infrastructure health, asset posture, service performance, and operational KPIs. Translate business and leadership reporting requirements into interactive dashboards with clear KPIs, drill-downs, slicers, trend views, exception reports, and automated refresh mechanisms.

Work with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, SOC, endpoint, vulnerability management, and governance teams to gather, validate, and structure reporting data. Develop dashboards for leadership consumption, including CISO scorecards, monthly security review reports, infrastructure operations reports, SLA dashboards, compliance views, and risk ageing reports. Create data models using Power Query, DAX, relationships, calculated measures, and optimized data structures for scalable reporting.

Integrate and transform data from Excel, SharePoint, SQL databases, APIs, CSV exports, ServiceNow, Microsoft Sentinel, security tools, cloud platforms, and infrastructure monitoring sources. Implement data quality checks, reconciliation controls, refresh validation, and exception handling to ensure report accuracy and reliability. Automate recurring reports and refresh processes wherever possible to reduce manual effort and improve reporting timeliness.

Maintain documentation for report logic, source data, refresh frequency, ownership, validation rules, business rules, and access governance. Ensure reports follow data security, confidentiality, and role-based access requirements, especially for sensitive security, vulnerability, compliance, and infrastructure data. Support troubleshooting of refresh failures, data inconsistencies, performance issues, access issues, and report publishing problems.

Required Technical Skills





Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. Advanced knowledge of Power Query, DAX, data modeling, calculated columns, measures, relationships, and report optimization.

Experience in building dashboards with drill-through, bookmarks, slicers, filters, conditional formatting, tooltips, navigation pages, and executive summary pages. Good understanding of dataset refresh, gateways, workspace management, publishing, access control, and Power BI app deployment.

Experience connecting Power BI to Excel, SharePoint, SQL Server, REST APIs, CSV files, ServiceNow exports, cloud data sources, and securityinfrastructure tool outputs. Ability to clean, transform, normalize, and reconcile data from multiple structured and semi-structured sources. Good SQL knowledge for querying, joining, aggregating, and validating source data.

Understanding of report performance tuning, data model optimization, incremental refresh, and best practices for scalable dashboard design. Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Dataflows, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse Analytics will be an added advantage.

Domain Experience Required

Positive experience in preparing CISO reporting dashboards and cybersecurity leadership reporting packs.

Experience in creating security operations dashboards covering SOC alerts, incidents, MTTD, MTTR, use cases, playbooks, monitoring coverage, and incident lifecycle views.

Experience in vulnerability management reporting, including severity-wise ageing, SLA tracking, openclosed trends, exception tracking, business unit views, and risk prioritization.

Experience in endpoint compliance and infrastructure reporting, including device compliance, patch status, encryption status, EDR coverage, tool deployment, and persistent non-compliance trends. Ability to prepare infrastructure reporting portals covering servers, network devices, cloud resources, application availability, capacity, operational health, service performance, and SLA adherence. Understanding of cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, compliance, and IT operations metrics is strongly preferred.

Exposure to tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, CrowdStrike, Zscaler, ServiceNow, Tenable, CloudSEK,



Intune, SCCM, Azure, AWS, or similar platforms will be an advantage.

Qualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. 47 years of overall experience in BIreporting, with at least 3 years of hands-on Power BI development experience. Prior experience supporting CISO, cybersecurity, infrastructure, IT operations, risk, compliance, or enterprise reporting functions is highly desirable.

Microsoft

Power BI certification, PL-300 certification, or equivalent BIdata analytics certification is preferred.

Preferred Capabilities

Experience designing executive dashboards for monthly CISO reviews, security posture reviews, infrastructure operations reviews, and boardCXO-level reporting. Ability to build reporting templates, reusable visual standards, KPI libraries, and automated reporting packs.

Experience implementing role-based access, sensitivity handling, and controlled sharing for confidential security and infrastructure data. Knowledge of data storytelling, dashboard UX, color-coded risk indicators, maturity views, heatmaps, and trend-based reporting.

Experience working in large enterprise environments with multiple data owners, source systems, and governance requirements.
