Power BI Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI SQL Developer to join our data analytics team.

The role is suited for a technical professional who can work in a client-facing environment , transform raw data into actionable business insights, develop high-quality analytical interfaces, and work with complex data architectures.

The position involves direct interaction with US-based clients , so excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory. The candidate should be confident in understanding business requirements, translating them into technical solutions, leading discussions, and presenting insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Power BI Data Visualization

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Power BI dashboards and reports .
- Create intuitive and professional UI/UX experiences for analytical applications.
- Develop advanced visualizations, interactive reports, drill-throughs, bookmarks, tooltips, and navigation.
- Work with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service .
- Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) , gateways, workspaces, and deployment-related activities.
- Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs .

SQL Database Engineering
- Write, optimize, and tune complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
- Work extensively with joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, views, stored procedures, functions, aggregations,



and complex query logic .
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation.
- Analyze query execution plans and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
- Optimize database queries and data-access processes supporting Power BI reports.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and performance issues across reporting and database layers.

Data Modeling
- Design and implement robust Star and Snowflake schemas .
- Develop efficient semantic/data models for Power BI reporting.
- Establish appropriate relationships, hierarchies, calculated columns, and measures.
- Ensure data models support scalability and optimal report performance.

Client Stakeholder Management
- Conduct discovery and requirement-gathering sessions with US-based clients.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and analytical solutions.
- Provide project updates and communicate technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders.
- Present dashboards, analytical findings, and data-driven insights to clients.
- Manage expectations and collaborate effectively with international stakeholders.

Performance Optimization
- Identify Power BI report and SQL performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize DAX, data models, SQL queries, and report design.




- Improve dashboard load times, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Implement relevant Power BI Service and database optimization techniques .

Required Skills Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience, with strong hands-on experience in Power BI and SQL .
- Deep expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service .
- Strong experience with advanced DAX .
- Hands-on experience with RLS, gateways, workspaces, and Power BI Service .
- Strong SQL expertise in T-SQL, PL/SQL, or equivalent SQL technologies .
- Extensive experience in SQL query development, optimization, profiling, and data validation.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema .
- Good understanding of UI/UX principles for business intelligence and analytical applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to confidently interact with US-based clients and international stakeholders .
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and requirement-gathering skills.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Snowflake - architecture, SnowSQL, data loading, and performance considerations.
- Azure Data Factory (ADF) .
- dbt or similar ETL/ELT tools.
- Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses and up-to-date data platforms.
