BI Platform Administrator / Analytics Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

BI Platform Administration

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain:
- Power BI

- Tableau

- SAP BusinessObjects

- Ensure reliable performance, availability, and scalability of BI platforms.

- Manage and configure BI gateways.

- Handle

- Patching

- Change management

- Performance tuning

- Scheduling

- Metadata management

- Cluster management

- Platform standards and best practices

- Support and maintain the security of the Business Intelligence environment in collaboration with the Lead Analyst.

Reporting & Dashboard Development

- Design, develop, test, and implement:
- Operational reports

- Analytics reports

- Scorecards

- Benchmarks

- Executive-level dashboards

- Develop and deploy advanced visualizations and dashboards using:

- Tableau

- Power BI

- Perform ad-hoc data analysis.

- Support solution design, reporting, and dashboard development.

- Performance-tune and troubleshoot analytics dashboards.

Scripting & Automation

- Develop and implement scripts for:
- User onboarding

- System health monitoring

- Alerts

- Administrative automation

- Scripting experience using one or more of:

- PowerShell

- Python

- Perl

- Bash

Data & ETL

- Work with ETL tools and SQL scripting.

- Strong SQL skills for debugging and resolving data issues.

- Experience with data integration from different sources into:
- Snowflake

- SQL Server

- Support reporting and analytics based on integrated data.

- Understanding of

- Data warehousing concepts

- Batch processing

- Workflow scheduling tools

Stakeholder Management

- Communicate project and platform status regularly with:
- Business stakeholders





- Lead Analysts

- Executive sponsors

- Work effectively both independently and as part of a geographically distributed team.

- Mentor team members and promote BI platform best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in:
- Computer Science

- Computer Engineering

- Information Systems

- Related field

- Master's degree preferred.

- 4+ years of hands-on administration experience with:

- Tableau

- Power BI

- SAP BusinessObjects

- 1+ years of scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, Perl, or Bash.

- 2+ years of experience with ETL tools and SQL scripting.

- Strong SQL skills.

- Experience managing and configuring gateways.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with cloud data platforms:
- AWS

- Azure

- GCP

- Prior ServiceNow platform experience.

- Experience with Snowflake.

- Experience with SQL Server.

- Advanced dashboard/visualization development experience.

Key Screening Priorities

Must Have:

- 4+ years of BI platform administration.

- Solid experience with Tableau + Power BI + SAP BusinessObjects.

- 1+ year scripting experience, preferably PowerShell/Python.

- 2+ years ETL and SQL experience.

- Strong SQL troubleshooting skills.

- Gateway configuration and administration.

- Dashboard performance tuning and troubleshooting.

- BI platform maintenance, upgrades, patching, and change management.
