Role & responsibilities -

To provide veterinary and technical support for poultry health, flock performance, disease prevention, nutrition and farmer technical services, while working closely with the Sales, Production, Quality and Feed Technical teams.

The role will be responsible for identifying field-level poultry health and management issues, providing scientific recommendations, supporting feed performance improvement and maintaining solid technical relationships with farmers and customers.

Preferred candidate profile

A. Poultry Health & Disease Management

- Conduct regular visits to poultry farms and assess flock health.
- Monitor mortality, morbidity, growth, feed intake, FCR and overall flock performance.
- Diagnose common poultry diseases and recommend appropriate treatment/prevention measures.
- Conduct or coordinate post-mortem/necropsy examinations wherever required.
- Identify disease patterns and provide timely technical recommendations.
- Monitor vaccination schedules and vaccination practices.
- Advise farmers on medication, supplementation and disease-control protocols within professional and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper records of disease incidence, mortality and treatment recommendations.

B. Feed & Nutrition Support
- Evaluate poultry performance in relation to feed quality, feed intake and management practices.
- Provide technical feedback regarding feed performance to the Feed Production, Quality and Nutrition teams.
- Coordinate with nutritionists and technical teams regarding formulation and field performance.




- Identify possible nutritional deficiencies or feeding-related performance issues.
- Monitor FCR, weight gain, feed consumption and other performance parameters.
- Provide recommendations for improving feed efficiency and bird performance.
- Support field trials of new feed products, additives, supplements and nutritional interventions.

C. Farmer Technical Support
- Conduct regular technical visits to farmers/customers.

- Understand farmer concerns and provide practical technical solutions.

- Develop strong technical relationships with key farmers and customers.

Technical veterinary roles in poultry commonly involve farm visits, flock-health monitoring, biosecurity guidance, farmer training and performance reporting. D. Sales & Business Support
- Work closely with the Sales Team during field visits.
- Provide technical support during customer/farmer meetings.




- Assist Sales in explaining the technical benefits and appropriate application of company feed/products.
- Support customer retention through effective technical service.
- Participate in farmer meetings, dealer meetings and technical campaigns.
- Identify market requirements and communicate field feedback to management.
- Support new product introduction and technical positioning.

E. Field Trials & Product Development
- Plan and execute field trials in coordination with Technical/Quality/Nutrition teams.
- Monitor trial farms and collect performance data.
- Compare performance against defined benchmarks.
- Prepare trial reports with observations and recommendations.
- Provide feedback for product improvement and development.
- Support R&D; activities relating to poultry feed, additives and nutritional products.

F. Biosecurity
- Audit farm-level biosecurity practices.
- Identify gaps in farm hygiene, visitor control, sanitation, vaccination and disease prevention.
- Recommend corrective actions.
- Educate farmers and farm staff regarding biosecurity protocols.
- Escalate suspected outbreaks or serious disease conditions immediately.

G. Data & Reporting

Prepare and maintain

- Daily/weekly field visit reports.
- Farm health reports.
- Mortality reports.
- FCR and body-weight analysis.
- Feed performance reports.
- Disease incidence reports.
- Vaccination records.
- Farmer/customer technical complaint reports.
- Trial and product-performance reports.
- Monthly technical MIS.
