Job Overview

Looking for an experienced Portable CMM (Faro Arm) Operator proficient in PolyWorks software. The primary responsibility involves precision inspection, alignment, and quality validation of Checking Gauges, Welding Fixtures, and Machined Components against CAD models.

Key Responsibilities

- Setup and operate Faro Portable CMM Arm at inspection stations / shop floor.
- Conduct dimensional inspection, GD&T; verification, and surface profile checks for Checking Gauges, Welding Fixtures, and Tooling.
- Perform CAD-to-part alignments (RPS, Best-Fit, 3-2-1) using PolyWorks Inspector.
- Calibrate probes, verify repeatability, and ensure probe compensation accuracy.
- Generate inspection reports, color error maps, and deviation reports for internal sign-off and client approval.
- Identify fixture manufacturing deviations, shim adjustments, and pin/surface clearances.

Key Skills & Requirements




- Hands-on experience with Faro Arm (Quantum / Edge / Prime or similar).
- Strong working command of PolyWorks (CAD-based inspection module).
- Robust understanding of GD&T; symbols, engineering drawings, and checking fixture concepts (pins, flush/gap checks, clamp pads).
- Educational Background: Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
