About the Role

We are looking for a Political Analyst to join our Political Intelligence (PI) Team for the Punjab region. The role involves conducting political and socio-economic research, monitoring developments across constituencies, gathering ground-level intelligence, and translating findings into structured insights for strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Punjab’s political landscape, excellent research and analytical abilities, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders on the ground.

The selected candidate will be based out of Panchkula and may be required to travel extensively across Punjab and other project locations as needed.

What Would This Role Entail?

- Monitor and analyze political, social, and socio-economic developments across Punjab at the constituency and regional levels.
- Conduct in-depth secondary research using credible sources, public data, news,



and other relevant information.
- Undertake primary research through interviews, field visits, focus group discussions, surveys, and stakeholder interactions.
- Track political leaders, parties, local influencers, key issues, and emerging political trends.
- Develop constituency-level political profiles, stakeholder maps, issue trackers, and analytical briefs.
- Gather and validate ground intelligence from local stakeholders and field networks.
- Analyze political and demographic data to identify relevant trends and patterns.
- Prepare structured reports, research notes, political briefs, and presentations for internal and client consumption.
- Translate complex information and ground-level findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support research requirements and strategic analysis.
- Maintain accurate, structured, and confidential records of research and field findings.
- Stay updated on developments in Punjab’s political, social, economic, and governance landscape.
- Travel across Punjab and other project locations as required for research and fieldwork.

Necessary Skills

- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized institution.
- Strong understanding of Punjab’s political ecosystem, current affairs,



and socio-political dynamics.
- Fluency in Punjabi (read, write, and speak) with an understanding of Gurmukhi, along with Hindi and English.
- Strong research, analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct both primary and secondary research independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret data and present findings in a structured manner.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of information.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field research and stakeholder interactions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Good to Have

- Prior experience in political consulting, political research, public policy, governance, journalism, or a related field.
- Experience in conducting field research, surveys, interviews, or stakeholder mapping.
- Familiarity with Punjab’s political constituencies, local leadership, and regional issues.
- Ability to build rapport with local stakeholders and gather ground-level insights.
- Experience in preparing research reports, political briefs, presentations, or analytical notes.
- Ability to manage multiple research assignments and workstreams simultaneously.
