QA / Software Test Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a QA Engineer with hands-on experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, Database Testing and Test Automation. The ideal candidate will ensure product quality across UI, APIs, and backend systems while contributing to automation, CI/CD, and AI-assisted quality engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze requirements and create test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform UI, API, and database validation to ensure application quality.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright (Python/PyTest or TypeScript).
- Conduct API testing using Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Write SQL queries to validate backend data, transformations, and business rules.
- Log, track, and verify defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.
- Support test planning, estimation, risk assessment, and release sign-off.
- Utilize AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor to improve testing efficiency and productivity.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of STLC,



SDLC, Agile/Scrum, defect lifecycle, and test design techniques.
- Hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with REST API testing, authentication methods (OAuth/JWT), and JSON/XML validation.
- Solid SQL skills including joins, subqueries, aggregations, and stored procedures.
- Minimum 3 years of automation experience using Playwright and Python/PyTest or TypeScript.
- Knowledge of Page Object Model (POM), reusable frameworks, reporting, and CI/CD integration.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, and defect management tools.
- Ability to effectively leverage AI tools for test case generation, automation scripting, analysis, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to performance testing (JMeter/k6), security testing, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, and Linux.
- ISTQB certification and experience with BDD frameworks are a plus.

Education Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Ideal Candidate A quality-focused professional with strong UI, API, Database, and Automation Testing skills, capable of working independently in Agile teams and driving continuous quality improvements through automation and AI-enabled testing practices.
