About the Role

We are looking for a Plumbing & Fire Design Engineer responsible for the design, planning, and coordination of plumbing and fire protection systems for building and infrastructure projects. The candidate should have good knowledge of design standards, preparation of drawings, and coordination with architectural and other MEP services.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop plumbing and fire protection systems for residential, commercial, hospitality, and other building projects.
- Prepare detailed plumbing and fire-fighting layouts, drawings, and design documentation.
- Design systems including water supply, drainage, sanitary, rainwater, and fire-fighting services.
- Prepare plumbing and fire-fighting plans, schematics, riser diagrams, and details.
- Perform basic hydraulic calculations and equipment/system sizing as required.
- Coordinate plumbing and fire services with architectural, structural, electrical, HVAC, and other MEP services.
- Review drawings and identify design clashes and coordination issues.
- Prepare BOQ, material specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and project teams as required.
- Review and incorporate project/client comments into drawings and designs.
- Support the project team during execution and resolve design-related technical issues.




- Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely submission of drawings and deliverables.

Required Skills
- Robust knowledge of Plumbing and Fire-Fighting system design.
- Knowledge of water supply, drainage, sanitary, rainwater harvesting, and fire protection systems.
- Good understanding of fire-fighting systems such as hydrant, sprinkler, fire tank, pump room, and related systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of MEP coordination and building services.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- Good analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Qualification B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Mechanical or related engineering discipline with relevant experience in Plumbing & Fire-Fighting Design.

Ideal Candidate

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Plumbing & Fire-Fighting Design.
- Experience in an architectural consultancy, MEP consultancy, engineering consultancy, or similar organisation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work within project timelines and deliverables.
