Job Purpose: To provide senior-level Kubernetes engineering expertise across Rancher-managed environments, ensuring operational excellence, platform stability, automation, security, and continuous improvement of containerized infrastructure and services.

Experience: 8+ years

Location: Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Extendable based on project requirements)

Relevant Experience:

- Minimum 6 years of infrastructure engineering experience with at least 4 years of hands-on Kubernetes administration experience.
- Solid experience managing Kubernetes clusters within Rancher environments.
- Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting capability.
- Strong understanding of platform security, networking, and operational best practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure Automation using Ansible and Python.

Responsibilities:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/KRAs/KPIs:

- Manage day-to-day Kubernetes platform operations across Rancher-managed environments.
- Provide troubleshooting, configuration management, and operational support for Kubernetes clusters.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and problem resolution activities.
- Perform RKE platform upgrades, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
- Support and execute RKE1 to RKE2 migration activities including planning, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Implement platform configuration changes and security enhancements.
- Design, develop, and maintain operational automation using Ansible and Python.
- Document and propose viable new solutions architecture frameworks.
- Monitor cluster health, performance, availability, and capacity.
- Establish and maintain operational standards, documentation, and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform reliability and scalability.
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to client teams in building Kubernetes capability.




- Participate in platform improvement initiatives and strategic roadmap activities.
- Drive platform reliability initiatives through capacity planning, performance tuning, and continuous optimization of Kubernetes environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code standards and operational runbooks to improve platform consistency and supportability.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and disaster recovery requirements by implementing industry best practices and conducting regular platform reviews.
