About Our Client A mission-driven organization that is building and scaling a nationwide digital commerce ecosystem, enabling seamless connectivity between businesses, service providers, and consumers across India.

- Own the end-to-end architecture of core services - registry, gateway, protocol handling, identity and credentialing, catalog and search paths, and the reusable shared services .

- Set the contracts: API and event design (REST, gRPC, event-driven), versioning and backward-compatibility policy, idempotency and retry semantics, and the failure modes an open network has to survive.
- Design for the properties that matter at this scale - p99 latency budgets, multi-tenancy and noisy-neighbour isolation, rate limiting at the edge, graceful degradation, and provable SLAs.
- Act as the technical gate on build-vs-reuse-vs-consolidate: decide what belongs in an existing platform versus what is genuinely a current service, and stop duplication before it ships.

We're looking for someone who has:

- 10+ years in software engineering with strong architecture experience - Expertise in low latency distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) - Strong understanding of platform engineering, developer platforms, observability, and infrastructure as code - Experience building scalable, resilient, high-throughput systems in production environments - Ability to influence engineering direction through architecture, RFCs, and technical leadership What's on Offer - Challenging and meaningful work in the not-for-profit sector.
