Plant Supervisor – Waste Management

Job Summary

Responsible for supervising day-to-day waste management plant operations, including waste receipt, segregation, processing, storage, manpower management, safety, housekeeping, and maintaining operational records in accordance with company procedures and applicable environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily operations of the waste management plant.
- Monitor the receipt, unloading, segregation, processing, storage, and dispatch of waste.
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste as per applicable procedures.
- Allocate manpower and manage workers and shift activities effectively.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
- Monitor plant machinery and equipment and coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the plant.
- Monitor waste quantities, movement, storage, and disposal records.
- Ensure proper labelling and safe storage of waste/materials.
- Coordinate with transporters, vendors, customers, and internal departments as required.
- Maintain daily production/operation reports, manpower records, waste movement records, and other required documentation.




- Identify operational issues and take immediate corrective action.
- Report accidents, incidents, spills, equipment breakdowns, and other operational issues to management.
- Support audits, inspections, and environmental/safety compliance activities.
- Conduct toolbox talks and provide basic safety instructions to workers.
- Ensure workers follow SOPs, work permits, emergency procedures, and plant safety rules.
- Minimize waste loss, spillage, contamination, and unnecessary operational costs.
- Perform any other plant-related duties assigned by management.

Required Skills
- Experience in waste management, recycling, ETP/STP, hazardous waste, or industrial plant operations preferred.
- Good manpower handling and team supervision skills.
- Knowledge of waste segregation, handling, storage, and transportation procedures.
- Basic knowledge of EHS and environmental requirements.
- Valuable communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle shift operations and emergency situations.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and operational documentation.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
