Role Description The Planning Manager – Civil is a full time, hybrid role based in Coimbatore, with flexibility. This role is responsible for preparing detailed project schedules, resource plans, and cost projections for civil engineering and construction projects.

The Planning

Manager monitors project progress, updates timelines, and coordinates with site teams, design teams, and management to address risks and delays. Daily activities include analyzing project data, preparing MIS reports, tracking materials and manpower, and ensuring adherence to contractual milestones and quality standards. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to optimize project methodologies, support tendering and budgeting processes, and maintain compliance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong civil engineering and construction planning background, with experience in project scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control.
- Proficiency in project management tools (such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar), and ability to interpret drawings,



BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Skills in data analysis and reporting, including preparation of progress reports, dashboards, and variance analysis for management review.
- Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholder communication, and resolve site-level planning and execution issues.
- Understanding of construction contracts, billing processes, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification in construction management or project management is an advantage.
- Relevant experience as a Planning Engineer or Planning Manager in civil or infrastructure projects, preferably with exposure to large or complex sites.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid environment and meet tight deadlines.
