Role & responsibilities

- Develop and review piping layouts and routing based on P&IDs;, equipment layouts, process requirements and project specifications.

- Prepare 3D piping models using PDMS, E3D, S3D, CADWorx and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D.

- Perform equipment modelling and develop piping arrangements considering accessibility, maintenance requirements, safety and operational requirements.

- Prepare and extract Piping Isometric Drawings, GA Drawings, BOM/MTO and other piping deliverables.

- Review vendor drawings, equipment datasheets and technical documents and incorporate relevant information into the piping model.

- Develop piping routes considering pipe rack arrangements, equipment orientation, maintenance access and inter-discipline requirements.

- Prepare and review pipe support layouts and support details in coordination with the structural team.

- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and other engineering disciplines to resolve design interfaces and clashes.

- Conduct 3D model reviews at different stages of project development and incorporate review comments.

- Identify and resolve clashes, model inconsistencies and layer/code compliance issues.

- Review and incorporate SPF, DMR, FMR and other model review comments.

- Prepare and update piping layouts based on approved stress analysis and piping support requirements.

- Coordinate with piping stress engineers for implementation of stress calculations and support requirements.

- Ensure piping design complies with applicable ASME, ASTM and project-specific standards/specifications.

- Support preparation of fabrication and construction-related piping drawings and documents.

- Review design outputs for accuracy,



constructability and compliance with project requirements.

- Coordinate with clients and project teams for resolution of technical comments.

- Participate in project review meetings and ensure timely closure of engineering deliverables.

- Support project execution by providing technical clarification to fabrication, construction and site teams.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong knowledge of piping design and engineering practices.

- Valuable understanding of P&IDs;, piping specifications, equipment layouts and piping standards.

- Ability to independently handle piping layout and modelling activities.

- Strong interdisciplinary coordination and communication skills.

- Ability to identify design clashes and develop practical engineering solutions.

- Good understanding of constructability, accessibility, maintenance and safety requirements.

- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet project schedules.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Team leadership and coordination capability.

Experience in process plants, skid manufacturing, process modular fabrication, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Pharmaceutical or Semiconductor projects would be relevant.
