Job Purpose:

To provide Piping Stress Engineering services / support to Turnaround (TA) and Project engineering activities at the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex.

Provide Engineering support to a small / large portfolio of Capital Works Projects & Turnarounds.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Perform piping flexibility and stress analysis using software such as CAESAR II
- Evaluate piping systems for thermal expansion, sustained loads, occasional loads, vibration, and fatigue.
- Prepare stress analysis reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Review piping layouts, support locations, and equipment nozzle loads.
- Design and specify piping supports, spring hangers, restraints, and expansion joints.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards such as:
- ASME B31.1
- ASME B31.3
- ASME Section VIII
- API Standards
- Coordinate with piping, structural, civil, mechanical, and process engineering teams.
- Review vendor data and validate equipment allowable loads.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and project meetings.




- Support site activities, troubleshooting, and field modifications when required.
- Compliance - Ensure that piping items designed with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM).
- Piping Class Management - Add/Modify required piping items as per project requirements, Special piping item preparation.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in piping stress analysis and design (depending on position level).
- Proficiency in CAESAR II.
- Positive understanding of piping materials, supports, and engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of international design codes and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
