Job Summary The Physiotherapist is responsible for assessing, treating, and rehabilitating patients with physical impairments, pain, movement limitations, and functional disabilities. The role involves developing individualized treatment plans, providing evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, monitoring patient progress, and working collaboratively with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support secure and effective patient care.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, including evaluation of pain, range of motion, muscle strength, mobility, balance, posture, and functional ability.
- Review relevant medical history, investigation reports, and physician referrals before initiating treatment.
- Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation plans based on the patient's diagnosis, condition, goals, and functional needs.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions, including:

- Therapeutic and strengthening exercises




- Range-of-motion and mobility exercises

- Gait and balance training

- Manual therapy where appropriate

- Respiratory physiotherapy

- Neurological rehabilitation
- Orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation
- Post-operative rehabilitation

- Functional and mobility training
- Appropriate electrotherapy and physical modalities
- Provide physiotherapy services to inpatients, outpatients, and ICU patients, according to hospital requirements and clinical competency.
- Assist patients with bed mobility, transfers, ambulation, and use of mobility aids such as walkers, crutches, and canes.
- Assess and manage patients at risk of reduced mobility and complications associated with prolonged hospitalization.
- Provide early mobilization and rehabilitation for appropriate medically stable patients.
