Job Title: Physical Education (PT) Teacher

Department: Physical Education / Sports

Reports To: Principal / Section Head

Job Purpose To plan and conduct physical education and sports activities that promote students’ physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and overall development.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Physical Education Classes
- Plan and conduct regular PT and physical education classes.
- Teach age-appropriate exercises, fitness activities, sports skills, and basic rules of various games.
- Encourage active participation and develop students’ physical fitness.
- Sports Training & Coaching
- Train students in various indoor and outdoor sports.
- Identify and encourage students with sporting abilities.
- Prepare students for inter-school and other sports competitions.
- Conduct regular practice sessions.
- Sports Events
- Assist in planning and conducting Annual Sports Day, inter-house competitions, and other sports activities.
- Prepare team lists, schedules, fixtures, and participation records.
- Coordinate with teachers and staff during sports events.
- Student Safety & Discipline
- Ensure students follow safety rules during PT classes and sports activities.
- Properly supervise students during practices, competitions, and outdoor activities.
- Report any injury or safety concern to the concerned authority immediately.




- Sports Equipment & Facilities
- Maintain an updated inventory of sports equipment.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of sports equipment.
- Report damaged, missing, or required equipment to the concerned authority.
- Ensure sports facilities and playgrounds are used safely.
- Records & Reporting
- Maintain attendance and participation records for PT and sports activities.
- Maintain records of students participating in competitions.
- Maintain records of sports achievements, certificates, medals, and awards.
- Submit reports as required by the Principal/Section Head.
- Student Development
- Promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, fair play, and sportsmanship.
- Encourage students to develop healthy lifestyle habits.
- Motivate students to participate in physical activities and sports.
- School Activities & Other Duties
- Assist in assemblies, Annual Day, school events, field trips, and other activities as required.
- Coordinate with teachers, parents, and coaches regarding students’ sports participation, wherever required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal/Section Head in the interest of the school.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
