About the RoleWe are looking for a Physical AI Operations Lead to lead and scale our physical-world data collection operations for Physical AI. This role is ideal for an experienced operations leader who has managed complex, hardware-enabled data collection programs involving cameras, sensors, wearable devices, gloves, and worker-level video data.

You will be responsible for translating data-collection requirements into reliable field operations, managing teams and on-ground workflows, and ensuring that high-quality datasets are produced consistently and at scale.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating in workshops, warehouses, factories, labs, or other real-world environments and is comfortable managing the operational complexity that comes with collecting multimodal data from human activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end physical AI data-collection operations, from planning and deployment to execution and quality control.
- Manage large-scale collection programs involving cameras, sensors, wearable devices, gloves, and other data-capture equipment.
- Set up and optimize operational workflows for collecting worker-level video and multimodal sensor data.
- Manage field teams, supervisors, operators, and other stakeholders involved in data collection.
- Coordinate data-collection activities across workshops, warehouses, factories, or similar real-world environments.
- Develop and implement SOPs, operational processes, training programs, and quality-control mechanisms.
- Ensure that collection teams consistently meet requirements for data quality, coverage, accuracy, and volume.
- Monitor field operations and identify bottlenecks related to equipment, people, workflows, environment, or data quality.
- Work closely with technical, data, and AI teams to translate dataset requirements into practical field processes.
- Establish metrics and dashboards to track productivity, collection throughput, quality, equipment utilization,



and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot operational issues quickly and drive corrective actions across field teams.
- Build processes that allow data-collection operations to scale across multiple locations and teams.
- Manage external vendors, field partners, contractors, or collection facilities where required.
- Maintain strong documentation and operational discipline across all collection activities.

What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in operations, field operations, data operations, manufacturing operations, logistics, research operations, or a related domain.
- Proven experience managing complex, large-scale data-collection or field operations.
- Hands-on experience with cameras, sensors, wearable devices, gloves, video capture, or other data-collection hardware is highly desirable.
- Experience working in workshops, warehouses, factories, labs, industrial environments, or other physical-world settings.
- Strong understanding of how to build and operate processes that generate high-quality datasets at scale.
- Experience managing distributed field teams and ensuring consistent execution across locations.
- Strong operational problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to translate technical or data requirements into clear operational procedures.
- Experience with SOP development, quality assurance, process improvement, and operational metrics.
- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.




- Willingness to spend significant time on the ground with collection teams and work closely with field operations.

Success in This RoleSuccess in this role will mean building a repeatable, scalable, and high-quality physical-world data-collection operation that can reliably produce the datasets required for Physical AI development.

- The person in this role will be expected to bring solid operational discipline while remaining highly hands-on — spending time in the field, understanding how collection actually happens, identifying operational bottlenecks, and continuously improving the system.
