Job: Photographer

Location: Sewri, Mumbai

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Photographer with a strong understanding of light, composition, and detail who can bring MISHO’s jewellery and couture to life through elevated, cinematic imagery. The ideal candidate has experience in luxury or fashion & product photography, an exceptional eye for balance and tone, and the technical skills to execute seamless studio and on-location shoots across a range of professional camera systems.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Production

- Capture high-quality imagery for campaigns, lookbooks, e-commerce, social media, and press.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and Art Director to translate design direction into visual storytelling.
- Shoot both jewellery and fashion pieces with precision, ensuring materials, textures, and form are represented authentically.
- Operate a range of skilled camera systems (Canon, Nikon, Sony, RED, Phase One, etc.) and manage lighting setups for both studio and outdoor shoots.

Post-Production & Editing
- Oversee image selection, retouching direction, and final delivery for all photo assets.
- Maintain a consistent colour tone, texture, and visual finish that aligns with MISHO’s brand aesthetic.
- Collaborate with in-house designers and editors to ensure images integrate cohesively across print, digital, and social platforms.

Creative Direction & Visual Strategy




- Develop concepts and moodboards for shoots in collaboration with the creative team.
- Research contemporary fashion, art, and editorial references to keep visuals globally relevant.
- Maintain the MISHO standard of Maison-level imagery refined, sculptural, and emotionally resonant.

Requirements

- Experience: 4–7 years of professional photography experience, ideally in fashion, jewellery, or luxury products.

- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency with Canon, Sony, Nikon, RED, or Phase One camera systems.
- Strong understanding of studio lighting (flash, continuous, and natural light) and composition.
- Skilled in Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom and Capture One for colour correction and retouching.
- Basic understanding for AI tools like Chatgpt, ComfyUI.

- Creative Skills:
- A refined visual sensibility with a strong sense of design, form, and light.
- Ability to shoot both product stills and creative/editorial imagery.

- Professional Skills:
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for working with stylists, models, and the creative team.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience shooting for luxury fashion or jewellery brands.
- Understanding of visual storytelling for both still and motion content.
- Basic video or motion direction skills are a plus.
- Degree or certification in photography, visual arts, or a related field.
