Job Summary We are looking for a Phlebotomist who will be responsible for collecting blood and other clinical samples safely and efficiently while ensuring proper patient care and accurate sample handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients using appropriate phlebotomy techniques.
- Ensure correct patient identification and proper labeling of samples.
- Handle, store, and transport samples as per laboratory protocols.
- Maintain hygiene, infection control, and safety standards during sample collection.
- Ensure proper disposal of needles, syringes, and biomedical waste.
- Interact professionally with patients and make them comfortable during sample collection.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected samples.
- Coordinate with the laboratory team for timely processing of samples.
- Report any issues related to sample collection, labeling, or transportation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area and equipment.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification: DMLT / B.Sc MLT / relevant phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Freshers to 2 years of experience in phlebotomy or sample collection.
- Good knowledge of blood collection procedures and basic infection-control practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient-friendly attitude and skilled appearance.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
